이번 밋업에서는 한국 딥테크 스타트업들이 유럽 시장에 진출할 때 실제로 어떤 파트너를 만나야 하는지, 어떤 방식으로 시장진입 전략을 만들어가야 하는지를 중심으로 이야기를 나눴습니다.
단순히 유럽 시장에 대한 정보를 전달하는 자리가 아니라, 각 기업의 기술과 사업모델을 바탕으로 유럽 내 잠재 고객과 파트너, 공동 R&D, PoC와 실증, 그리고 현지 사업개발 가능성까지 함께 살펴보는 1:1 미팅으로 진행했습니다.
이번 행사를 통해 다시 느낀 점은, 유럽 진출은 단순히 새로운 시장에 제품을 판매하는 것만으로는 충분하지 않다는 것입니다.
좋은 기술을 가지고 있어도 현지 산업 생태계를 이해하고, 적절한 파트너를 찾고, 실제 시장의 수요와 기술을 연결하는 과정이 필요합니다. 특히 딥테크 기업은 공동 연구개발, 실증, 현지 파트너십, EU R&D 프로그램 등 여러 경로를 함께 고려해야 합니다.
한국과 유럽 사이에는 생각보다 많은 협력 기회가 있습니다.
중요한 것은 서로의 기술과 수요를 발견하는 데서 끝나는 것이 아니라, 이를 실제 공동 프로젝트와 사업 기회로 연결하는 것이라고 생각합니다.
WeINTERACT와 Researchpreneurs는 앞으로도 한국의 딥테크 스타트업이 유럽의 기업, 연구기관, 혁신 생태계와 연결될 수 있도록 보다 구체적인 협력 기회를 만들어가려고 합니다.

WeINTERACT and Researchpreneurs recently hosted the EU Entry Strategy 1:1 Meetup for Korean deep-tech startups.
The meetup focused on a very practical question: when Korean deep-tech companies enter the European market, who should they meet, and how should they build their market-entry strategy?
Rather than simply sharing information about Europe, we held one-on-one discussions based on each company’s technology and business model, exploring potential customers and partners, joint R&D opportunities, PoCs and demonstrations, as well as local business development opportunities.
One thing this event reminded us of is that entering Europe is not simply about selling a product in a new market.
Even with strong technology, companies need to understand the local ecosystem, identify the right partners, and connect their technology with real market needs. For deep-tech companies in particular, market entry often involves multiple pathways, including joint R&D, pilot projects, local partnerships, and EU R&D programmes.
There are more opportunities for collaboration between Korea and Europe than we often realize.
The key is not just to identify technologies and needs, but to turn those connections into real projects, partnerships, and business opportunities.
WeINTERACT and Researchpreneurs will continue working to create more practical connections between Korean deep-tech startups and European companies, research institutions, and innovation ecosystems.
